These scams involve WhatsApp accounts displaying a blue verified badge and sending messages that resemble account security notifications, such as alerts about login attempts from new devices.

Recipients are then asked to change their passwords through links included in the messages. These links may redirect users to fraudulent websites designed to steal personal information and account credentials.
